I now know more about poultry ailments than my vet! Review by Nick Hindle
I now know more about poultry ailments than my vet!
Excellent book (Ring bound would be nice so you can refer to it while holding a chicken). (Posted on 25/06/2009) -

Speedy and efficient delivery following my order. The book itself is comprehensive and full but not overaweing Review by Colin Snell
Speedy and efficient delivery following my order. The book itself is comprehensive and full but not overaweing. I had no idea about athe vast array of afflictions that can befall chickens. Delighted that my own hens were not suffering from any of the maladies listed other than worms which we duly treated. Now being in possesion of the invaluable information in the book I feel more confident and assured. Hens are happier too! (Posted on 25/06/2009)

This is a great book. Simple, straightforward and practical. Review by Rob Skinner
This is a great book. Simple, straightforward and practical. I use it for my own birds as well as in my job as an RSPCA Inspector.
I have seen dropped willy syndrome in a call duck and I have seen toe balls as big as golf balls! (Posted on 25/06/2009) -
Very informative publication Review by Alexandra Pawley-Kean
Very informative publication - with few vets who specialise in the care of chickens, the pet owner/small holder now has the opportunity to correctly treat their animals when sick. Thank you! (Posted on 25/06/2009)

I'd say this book helped the chickens survive our ignorance. Review by Clay Kimrey
being forewarned is being forearmed. We feel better about our venture into poultry raising after learning what to watch out for and how to head off problems. Even though we will only be rasing a few chickens as a hobby, I'd say this book helped the chickens survive our ignorance. (Posted on 25/06/2009)

I have recently purchased 5 books from the Gold Cockerel Books series and have found them all very helpfull. Review by Michelle Morris
I have recently purchased 5 books from the Gold Cockerel Books series and have found them all very helpfull.
For some time now I have been trying to find a cure for scally mite with little effect, then I read that you should not use roof felt on your hen house for water proofing as the mites love it. Since stripping and cleaning the whole house and treating the infected hens the problem has now gone. (Posted on 25/06/2009) -
