As an absolute beginner I can say there is no question that this book is definitely worth buying. In reading it I have had most of my queries answered and had the added interest of learning a great deal else besides. I hope that the second edition will have an index at the back because this would definitely improve the book and more information please. An approximate timetable for rearing the young and rather more precise information about what to do and when would be most useful. Most of us do have cats around and more information about how to protect squabs in wallcots and polecots could be helpful.Eg At what age do we need to move them before they flop out? Do they need a parent bird with them?
